Come on, that's a lame excuse. It would take you all of 30-minutes to run a 220 cord.

Hm.. One of my friend's dad is an electrician, I'll ask him about it. I didn't know anything about adding 220... That's one of the things we didn't think of when we built our garage but wish we had done...

I have a Hobart 187 and it says Miller on the gun. I have been told that Miller bought Hobart but because they are out of country they had to keep the Hobart name. I don't know if it's true or not.FWIW.

I have one and love it. It's my first welder, so I had some difficulty w/ initial setup on welding 16 gauge steel, but that was my lack of experience, not the welder's fault. With a bit of practice, I got it dialed in just right. I've just welded 16 gauge and some bumper steel (1/8" ?). It works beautifully for what I need. I'd do it again.

Miller owns Hobart

I have used the 140. It is a very good welder. We are picking up a 187 in a couple weeks. My brother and I just wired the garage for 220 :D
