Mazda Protege vs Land Rover Discovery

Some idiot backs into the rear end of my parked Disco. Loud bang! I was worried that my rover would suffer a cracked rear taillight, but nothing major.

No worries, the rover did not receive a single scratch. The Mazda Protege on the other hand, well, their trunk is battered and the entire right rear light assembly is gone.

Some people need to learn turn their head around while backing up.

My '03 Disco was the victim in a hit-and-run that some druken fool ran into me while I was sitting at the stop light. Minor damage to the rear bumper, cracked light, broken parking sensor, and a damage spare tire carrier (the spare tire bent part of the tire carrier).

After the insurance estimate for genuine LR parts and labor, I asked for a check and now I am going to order a Trek rear bumper.

Had a guy in a BMW 525 hit me from behind (rockware bumper) AT THE GAS PUMP!

I looked at the bumper and said no worries, but then pointed at his crunched airdam, bumper and hood, laughed and said, but that is a real bummer about your car.

He told me that I backed into him. Hard to see how that would be possible since I had the pump in my hand and and was pumping gas when he did it.

I ignored him, finished pumping, noted his plate and then just left.
