Installing EBC Rotors, Help?

I have found that info saying the lock nut for the hub is 54mm, or 52mm, what is it? I need to go buy one.

I'm installing an EBC brake kit and any extra advice would be great.

oh, yeah. What type of wheel bearing grease would be recomended?

I've replaced D1 and RRC rotors at least a dozen times. You should not need to replace your lucknut. Sometimes it can get a little burr on it, especially if someone has used a hammer and chisel to remove it rather than the proper 2 & 1/16" (about 52mm) socket. Simply file/sand it smooth. The "you bend 'em" lock washers can also be re-used if you re-flatten them carefully. For detailed info on how to torque the hub assembly, check out this link:

You should definately replace the hub seals (use the better Land Rover ones, PN# RTC3511 ) and possibly, the bearings. My bearings & races looked fine at 100k miles so I simply cleaned and re-greased them. As for grease, I prefer Mobil 1 (the red stuff). It seems to stay put longer and is more water resistant.

I meant to say that I need to go buy a socket for the lock nut, and I wasn't sure what the size was. I'll go get the mobil one today too.
