Has anyone done this job themselves? I just bought a home in the Richmond area and it will need gutters installed at some point.

It doesn't look hard to do but it appears that having two people on the job would makes things go much easier.

Please feel free to share your thoughts.

This is a pretty easy job to do. If you do it yourself you'll be buying the gutters in sections. It's aluminum, so very light weight though a bit unwieldy - a friend might be handy.

A professional installer will have a coil on his truck and form it to the length required without any joints (that can leak). Check the difference in price between DIY and professional installation - you might be pleasantly surprised.

i just had a bunch of this put on my shoebox of a house and Pugsly is right, call a pro with a coil machine. for me it was about a $30 difference to have someone else do the 8 hours worth of work. that's a no brainer in my book. shop around i think you'll be surprised.
