1993 RR Classic LWB
170K miles
$5500.00

The Good:
New head gasket and all top end gaskets less than a month ago.
New belts and hoses.
New swivel ball gaskets this winter.
Compression check good
Cilynder check good
Cold AC
All synthetic fluids
Power Windows and sunroof work
6-Disc CD changer/Stereo work
EAS converted to Coils and Bilstiens before I got it
Nice tailgate and top hatch. Replaced before I got it.
VERY Clean inside

The Bad:
Has a small coolant leak somewhere that I haven't been able to nail down. Engine smells like coolant on long trips.
Transmission fluid leaks onto exhaust causing a little smoke after shutdown. Not enough to notice any is missing. Doesn't need to be refilled often. Just enough to make it smoke.
Oil pressure transmitter is intermittant and couses the oil pressure light to stay on most of the time. No problems with pressure, though.
Has developed a slight hesitation. Just noticed it this morning on my way to work. Could be something...could be nothing.
Rear diff leaks. Probably clogged breather hose.
The Hellas and Roof Rack are not included. I am keeping them for my next truck. Sorry.

This is one of the nicest 93's I have seen. It is my daily driver, and has only left me stranded once (Blew a radiator hose)
I have a wife, 2 kids, and a new house, and don't have the time to put into it to do what I originally planned. It would make a great daily driver/project truck for someone who has the time.

Any questions or for more pics, please email gfrench@sh.hcs.k12.sc.us

I let the last wife go,,,, kept the Rover.

One nice thing about it is that the Rover bills seem tame when compared to atty fees, alimony, etc, etc. All a matter of perspective,,,my Rover is CHEAP by comparison.

Dang shame. If I had $1 for every male I've heard 'needing to get rid of' an offroady vehicle because of the wife or the baby.. I'd have.. well.. maybe $10.

Are you SURE you want to? Don't do it unless you're SURE *you* want to.

Yup. It just takes too much time to keep it running properly. I haven't been able to take it on any serious trips, because it runs great until the day before a trip, then something goes wrong so I have to spend all weekend fixing it.
I thought I would have more time to work on it once I got deactivated, so I sold the Disco and bought the Classic. Have a whole different life now than I did 2 years ago when I got activated: new house, new baby, etc.

Buying a Scout. Hopefully I will still be allowed at LR events as an Alumni or something.

That was funny! Good luck Greg. If it were me though .. I would DUMP the BF/Husband before I sold the rover. :)

Heh! I've kept my old Jeep along with the Rover (very useful when the Rover is in for servicing, etc.). I'm married now but I had the Jeep when I had my first serious boyfriend. Over time, I've heard a few significant others suggest when are you going to get rid of that Jeep? It has outlasted them all! :D
