Leak from overflow tank line. Fix or bypass the throttle body?

So I was swapping out spark plugs and wires and must have hit this line as the end that goes into the hose snapped off about 1.5" and started leaking a little. I pulled out the broken piece and just stuck the other end back into the hose on the bottom of the overflow tank and tightened the clamp. It doesn't have the raised edges but seems to be holding. I have not driven it around yet. The tank is brand new so I know that little nipple on the bottom is not leaking.

Should I leave it , replace that damned brittle plastic hose going to the Throttle body or just clamp it off? I replaced the throttle body gasket awhile back so it doesn't leak but I live in Atlanta and it doesn't get cold much here. Occasionally but not often.

I don't know that name of that hose if i need to replace it. Where can I get one if needed?

Thanks and hope this makes sense. Maddening after all the work replacing those spark plug and wires to have this happen.

now i may be in luck. found this hose in my garage by chance. Does this look right? Any tricks to swapping out this hose from bottom of overflow tank to throttle body? Doesn't look like I have to remove anything other than the clamps.IMG_6753.jpg

so then let's stick to my question about installing that new line from the overflow tank to the throttle body. just weave it through? It goes around behind and under the alternator. Just want to make sure I don't have to remove anything other than the clamps. Thanks.

there is a replacement hard plastic line available. sorry, don't have the part number. others use properly sized transmission fluid line (i think that was it) with more flex to it.

any rubber hose with the proper ID and that is coolant safe should be fine.
