Looking for Mountain Bike...Downhill type

I know it has nothing to do with this site as far as land rovers go, but we are all off-roaders here. I need to know if somebody has a friend who has a friend who has a serious mountain bike. I would love to get ahold of a downhill type, but that would most likely be out of my price range. So, here is my usual criteria:Dual suspension, prefer dual Disc Brakes,24/27Speed,and definitely not crap as far as shocks and shifting goes. I am willing to work with someone on all of this and plan to pay a pretty good amount. So, if you know where I can get a decent used one let me know by email at kevinhaeb@hotmail.com

Specialized P1, 2, or 3 are all dual disc hard tails and relatively inexpensive, even new. Specialized as a brand is the best in my opinion. Look into them, they have a lot more models to choose from, but they get up there in price.

SC Bullit

Hey man...I just bought a 92 Range Rover and I would love to have a little extra cash for suspension and lockers...so here is what I have.
2004 meduim rootbeer bullit (perfect) maybe 2 rides about 30 minutes each.
I have it built up with the 5thelement of course and all new components including RF northshore cranks with LRP and 24/34 salsa rings, primo pedals, MAvic 321 wheels with sun ringle hubs and Maxxis high roller/mobster combo tires. Full XT drive train and Race Face stuff else where like bars, diablous stem headset and BB. Thomson seat post and haro seat. purple hayes 8" discs...anything I left out?
I had a monster for it, but sold it...but I have a 2003 boxxer race (green) I just put on to sell. MAke me an offer and it is yours. Send me an email and I will send you some pics if you are interested.
Thanks

Well Adam has my dream-bike already listed, but I will probably only end up forkin out about 500USD. I know this is way to cheap to actually do any downhillin, but I didn't want crap like Mongoose or something listed on this thread. Guy off Ebay offered me a Rocky Mountain Edge '02 for about 350USD(very very cheap). It's pretty darn decked out. If you think you can top the RM Edge let me know, or if you think it's crap from experience. Thanks for your posts.....Kevin H.

Specialized makes great bikes. I just upgraded from a rockhopper front suspension, which i rode for almost 10 years, to a stumpjumper FSR pro disc. It's an awesome bike but not cheap. You do get what you pay for and they last a long time.Check the web site, there is a line under the stumpjumper where you can get dual suspension and disc brakes for something like 1100-1400(I forgot the model).

Yeah JP wholesale is worth checkin out on ebay, I have seen every bike on ebay about ten times now and if you won that yellow DH bike, you are definitely fortunate. He has some decent bikes, for a last resort, that I would get, I would still like to have used, it just always seems to be a better deal for the dollar. Kev
