I saw an LR3 on display at the mall a few weeks ago with a roof rack, I'm assuming it was a genuine land rover one.

Land Rover has a few options. One that looks like a spaceship Safety Devices rack (the "Expedition Roof Rack") or you could add the genuine crossbars and a plethora of devices to attaching sporting gear or load carrying devices.

All are probably very expensive

LR3 Roof rack for sale

Hello,

I got a an original LR3 Roof Rack for sale (the one that looks like the spaceship) in the picture previously shown. The rack is brand new and the parts and instructions are still packed, except the rack itself. Please email me at fvvf@netzero.com if interested. Thank you.

I hear that NWP in Portland Or. is working on one right now. I do not know the lead time on it, but it is worth giving them a call if you are still interested.

It's not JUST the roofrack you need, you also need the roofsupports, that is where the rack or other luggage carriers are mounted on

;)

Thanks guy's

The D90 is a TD5 engine. It's an X-Tech limited edition from 2000
The green thingy is indeed an Iltis.

The logo is indeed the dakar logo, and was set on all the 4x4's I have (except for the iltis - no room and the DIII - Doesn't realy go with it, need to find something else)

More info on the site ;) (http://www.m-release.com)

Rackmaster

A company called Rackmaster make a good rack in South Africa. It has a captive nut system allowing attachment of various items such as Jerry Can, shovel holders, spare tyres etc. It's marketed here thorugh a company called Opposite Lock. Go to their website www.oppositelock.com.au and enter rackmaster. It has it's own rails that bolt into the existing LR ones that the landrover roof rails bolt to.

Yes I hear that Rover Accessories will also be making a super heavy duty one peice full length one with light tabs. Everything that has come out of that company in the past has always been top notch stuff.
