more 04 Disco SE questions

I tried out cruise control today on my 04 Disco SE and it surges gas for 3 seconds, turns off gas for 3 seconds, then surges gas for 3 seconds, turns off gas for 3 seconds -repeat-, is this normal? I was hoping it would be more steady.

Cup holders are big, but don't hold 16oz. bottle water nor Snapple well, any recommended replacement?

Do Disco Sunroofs make noise (I think thats what I hear when going on a bumpy road)? Any other things I should check for before stopping at the dealer?

Dave- did you take the inserts out of the cup holders? I can fit large water bottles in mine just fine without the inserts.

If I remove inner cup holder area is too big, but if I leave in its just a little to small. I think I need the goldilocks style cup holder

my cruise control surges too initially, after a while it "stabilizes" itself and will hold a steady speed. Sounds like it vacuum operated system. Unlike my Benz, it's rock steady once you set it.

My 03 was the same, I will assume that is has 'Learned' and is now quite smooth. give it time

My sunroof's rattled off pavement when open and silent when closed
My holders hold stuff, sometimes they are the right size sometimes not.

My 04 SE7 has all of 1650 km on it now, and the cruise control seems to be improving. First time I used it I was horrified... the vehicle couldn't seem to keep a steady speed at all. Now it surges for a minute or two, then settles down.
