Noise diagnosis: Flex plate?

It sounds like it to me, but at idle in the driveway there's no change in sound when I open op the bell housing inspection plate. Don't want to pull the engine on a hunch. It's not more broken cats, but it could be exhaust hitting the TC mount bolt.

How 'bout you crawl under the car and record the noise there. Or use one of those car stethoscopes. Have jr. or the Mrs. on the pedal.

If it’s the flex plate it’s going to make more noise when the truck is idling in gear. So it has more load on it.
They start out as a ticking noise. Small exhaust leaks at the exhaust manifold sound about the same.
