Nursery ideas?

Hello all,
My wife and I are expecting our first child, and found out last week that we're having a boy! I'm posting here to see if anyone has any ideas about nursery decorations, especially LR stuff. We're looking at a transportation theme (cars, trucks, boats, etc.) or outdoors theme, either of which would lend themselves quite well to having something Land Rover in there; I know Roverlady had asked around looking for the LR bear a while back, did we ever discover who had them? Anyone stumbled across any must-have LR stuff for kids? I'm considering taking an old Rovers North catalog cover and using that to create a mural on the wall, but Annie may decide that's too much (we don't want our son to always be inundated with LR stuff, but I am thinking of how to make bunk beds look like a 109" w/ roof rack in about 4-5 years!)

Anyways, thanks for the ideas,
-Alan

Congrats Alan!

How about tin Land Rover signs? They can be found all over E-bay ect. They are colorful, long lasting and good for teething! :)

YIPPEEEEE! CONGRATS ALAN!

Ok, I second the sign idea, but NOT for teething! ;)

Also, a safari or outdoor mural theme/painting would be cool and would grow into older years, maybe transition into that 109 bed! Trading Spaces for kids and Home Makeover have done neat things like that...bet you could get some ideas online.

About the bear, I ended up buying Livingston on Ebay...paid about $35. He would have been $50 to order from the UK. There are newer, smaller ones out now, but I really loved the one with the safari outfit.

Good luck and please send best wishes to your wife too! Post pics with your final project!

Congratulations!
Start saving up on sleep, because there won't be much around when he's born!
My daughter is 3&1/2 months old now and is amazing. If I knew it would be this cool, I would have had her years ago!
