Looks like I found my new best friend. Dave, where have you been hiding this toy?

I use a carchip EX as well- they absolutely rock! It's still nice to have a handheld reader, but the carchip is a great way to monitor problems and catch them early.
So far my 02 FL has 1,453 VIS error codes although no MIL illuminated. The dealers get annoyed when you print off the charts and graphs to show them when exactly the codes pop... :D

Eric,

Just picked it up last night. Got tired paying someone to pull the codes, plus you
can program it to monitor 4 out of 23 different engine parameters as you drive.
Fuel pressure, air flow rate, intake manifold pressure, and battery voltage ect...
It's got to make pin pointing problems a lot easier. Don't worry, I'm sure I'll let
you borrow it.

I was actually thinking of getting the RovaCom Lite. But I think it's over kill right now.

I'd love to see it. sounds pretty cool.

Do not take this the wrong way, but
you guys must have nothing better to do but wait for a code to throw!
I run a 98 D1, so I always expect the 'light' to go on. I bought an Actron CP9135 OBDII scanner for $99 at pepboys, never used it yet on the truck, but others have been grateful for me reading out and resetting it.
BTW, every one of them has German car always an Audi, Bimmer or VW.
I await your abuse ;)
