I?m selling my off road modified 95 Discovery.
Specs:
Red with tan leather interior
133,695 as of 9-12
Auto transmission
Factory tinted windows
Modifications;
Suspension:
OME 764 front springs (40k miles on them and no sag measured)
OME 763 rear springs (5k miles on them, installed 4 months ago)
D2 rubber isolators on top and bottom of springs, adding another inch front and back equaling a 3.5? lift.
Rear springs are retained with red rock rover retainers.
Bilstein shocks with 40k miles.
Rear sway bar disconnects custom made, pull two pins and the bar drops away from the axle mounts.
Steering:
Relocated steering damper with the heavy duty D2 OME damper.
Heavy duty front and rear drag links and heavy duty tie rod.
These are all Red Rock Rover parts, when I installed these last year about 10k miles ago I installed all new tie rod ends too.
Armor:
Red Rock Rover heavy duty sliders, very stout and clean looking.
RRR front and rear pinion guards
RRR front and rear bolt on diff guards
ARB non-winch bull bar
Drivetrain:
Removed rotoflex in the rear and installed HD driveshaft with u-joints
Wheels:
D110 LR heavy duty steel wheels (black) mounted with 235/85/16 BFG AT KO?s and matching LR lugs. Tire have a little over 50% tread left. I rotate the spare into the regular tire rotation.

2 Hella 3000?s mounted to the bull bar

Condition:
The Good!
This truck was always well maintained by me since I bought it 4 years ago. I?ve put about 60k miles on it. Before me it was a lease return from so-cal, so I?m the second owner. I?ve always use synthetic oils in the transmission, engine, cdl, and diffs. The engine doesn?t leak oil or burn oil. I put in about ? qt every 5000miles between oil changes. It gets 12mpg city and 15-17 mpg highway. In the past 30k miles I?ve replaced the waterpump, rebuilt the alternator, replaced the radiator, replaced the expansion tank, and replaced all wheel bearing, swivel ball bearings. In the past year or 7000 miles I?ve installed all new motor mounts, all new coolant hoses, new belts, brake pads front and rear, new catalytic converters, plugs, cap, rotor. In the past 10k miles I replaced the tie rod ends. Truck steers straight and no vibrations from the lift. CDL works great and it shifts smoothly.
The Bad:
The abs has a bad wheel sensor. To be exact I driven this truck for 4 years without ABS, I hate ABS and never wanted to fix it. The door remote doesn?t function, to be honest it was just the remote that went bad and a new remote would fix it, I just found other things to spend money on. The roof rack and rear ladder have surface rust in various spots. It would be an easy fix to rattle can it, but I wanted to powder coat and I just never got around to it. Truck is rust free in the important areas, no door jam rust, no floor board rust, no frame rust. But there is rust on the alpine windows under the seals. The windows don?t leak and it really is only cosmetic. The SRS light is on from removing the battery. LR recommends replacing the airbags at 100k or 10 years, so I never bothered to have a dealer check and rest the light. The door, headlight, cdl in neutral warning, key in the ignition sounder no longer sounds. My MFU had issues and I fixed the issues, but killed the sounder. I?m not sure this is a bad thing but my truck won?t beep at you if you care about that. The paint looks like a 10 year old red truck. I.E. it?s faded and requires waxing every few months to keep a good shine.
The Ugly:
The truck has some dings from wheeling and regular wear for a 10 year old truck. The rear driver?s side fender right behind the wheel is bent in. Tire contact from not enough trimming for the 235/85?s bent it in. It could be fixed, but I was planning on putting on a RTE bumper that cuts that metal away, just never got around to it. The rear bumper is not perfect any more. Not really bent just tweaked, you can hardly notice and was like that when I got it. The rear seat looks great, but the front seats show wear. They are cracked on the seat bottom only and the driver sides stitching looks worn. The front seat backs look fine. There is a stain in the storage area carpet. Like that since I bought it, I covered it with a mat so I it never bothered me. Dash board peeled in the front. Put the LR dash repair kit on it and started to peel again. The true fix is new dash or remove the dash fix kit, trim back the curled dash, reinstall the fix kit. Also one hella 3000 has a cracked lense, so does one of the 500?s. Utah has to many fun dirt roads to drive into the middle of no where, but lots of stones to get thrown at the lights.
Overall a clean truck that is extremely capable. Shined up it looks a lot newer than a 95. Runs strong and easily will roll along at 90 mph to Moab. Why sell? I found a 99 D1 LSE with lockers, gears, hd axles, winch and 50k less miles. I wanted to lock, gear, hd axle and go with a bigger lift to my 95, but this other truck is closer to that point plus has less miles and I can buy it for a good deal, so time to move on to a newer rover! As listed above with all the modifications I want to get $4600 OR BEST OFFER! I might start parting it if I can?t sell it. Make me an offer, maybe we can work out a deal.
