OME LTR Front Shocks on a lifted D1

Has anyone installed OME LTR front shocks on a D1 with a 3" suspension lift, i.e. OME764 springs in the front. Should the shock towers be changed to shorter ones in order to lower the upper mounting position. Currently N73 shocks are used in the front due to it's longer travel. The LTR shocks have a shorter travel, the same as the N115, therefore the upper mounting position should be lowered by about 2" to enable the fitment of the LTR shocks.
Any solutions, does anyone make 2" lowered front shock towers?

Over the last two days I have been gathering information on OME LTR shocks. I am using like many others N73 Toyota Land Cruiser shocks in the front of my D1 with a 3" suspension lift setup. I wanted to change my shocks to LTR's and I thought the only method in order to avoid the shock from bottoming up was to shorten the shock tower by 2 inches on a lifted D1 and therefore allow the use of the Land Rover Discovery front LTR's, LTR04F. That is not necessary as OME have the LTR01F which has the same compressed and extended lengths as the N73 and is also used on the front of Toyota Land Cruisers. Therefore, the change of the original LR front shock towers is not necessary.

I built a set when I went to eye mount shocks on the front. I was considering making a bunch and selling but haven't really perfected the system yet. You could do something like this:
