Ok, not to beat this polishing thing to death but I'm kind of on roll. Thank you Dean. I've got a Litespeed Titanium road frame that has a great satin Ti finish but I want to polish it up like a freaking mirror. BTW the table came out great - I'll post a pic or two when I can get my camera working. I think that it is 6val Ti. Pretty nice stuff. Any help? Thanks....

titanium polishes up just like other metals, it just takes a bit more work and you'd need to start with a slightly more aggressive compound.

I've worked with plate titanium and its very hard material, despite its weight. I would do a quick google and see which compound to use to polish the stuff. Probably the same stuff as ferrous materials (which are hard), rather than precious metal compounds.
