Pre-Oiler and Low Pressure Backup Pump Project

My latest project is an electric oil pump for pre-pressurizing the engine to ~15psi or more prior to cranking the engine.
Bonus function is to have it kick in to boost flow (ergo pressure) at low RPM.

I am thinking of something like this: [ https://infinityaerospace.com/product/other/pre-oiler-and-back-up-engine-oil-pump/ ]. It appears to be a pretty generic electric pre-luber. I am not a fan of those four little screws and square flat plate.. but maybe that's not an issue.

It seems like an ideal design would involve a dual filter remote mount, with a full bypass filter and a normal filter as well [ Amsoil universal kit https://www.amsoil.com/p/amsoil-universal-dual-remote-bypass-system-bmk23/ ]. An even cooler design would incorporate the electric pre-oiler into the remote mount.. that might get a bit bulky though.

Has anyone done this? Is this peanut gallery stuff? From my aviation days, I am a fan of pre-oiling and boost pumps  and it seems like a moderately affordable life-extension project, especially when combined with the full bypass amsoil filter kit. ... you could even run the thing on a timer to maximize the micron-level filtration.

One extra element (hah, pun) is the inclusion of an oil pre-heater. It turns out that lots of water gets absorbed into oil when it cools... It seems oil below ~170ºF doesn't really dry out much. I know there are drain-plug heaters (and magnetic stick-on pan and block heaters for the ferrously inclined) so that is probably an easy kit.

Might as well just convert it to a dry sump system. Never looked for an electric powered dry pump but I am sure it’s out there. Better run two batteries. Lol

Still investigating.

There are actually two ~co-habitating projects in this area:
- Coolant filter & electric pump (to circulate coolant and run the fans after engine shutdown)
- Electric oil pump w/100%-bypass filter (amsoil). To pre-pressurize the system

I'm interested to see what you come up with.
