I am dealing with some low RPM closed throttle engine fluctuations and according to the TSB below this is likely due to an issue with my programmable ready only memory (PROM). Has anyone had this update/replacement applied? Does it have to be done at a dealership or can a good indy shop perform the change? Alternatively could I simply acquire a later ECM 98+ and swap the PROM myself?
