Radio/ClimateControl assembly access

My 96 Disco fan speed selector switch is not operating , other then the #2 position. I need to get at the fan speed selector switch located under the Temperature control knobs and Radio. Can some one get me started in getting to the inside of the Center section of the the instrument panel, and unwrapping the whole assembly. I'm sure there are a few screws or retainers hiding from sight that are the key to puzzle. Thanks

I've never actually gone after that switch, but I think you should start with the ashtrays & cupholder. Someone who HAS will probably post soon.

Steven, you remove the blower switch by 1) remove the three knobs (two temperature selectors and center vent control knob) 2) remove the knob from the fan/blower speed switch, 3) remove the face plate, 4) remove the little bulb, 5) remove the four little screws and then 6) you can remove the panel.

Note the blower switch and the temperature selectors are all one unit. I had the same problem and had to replace the entire unit.
