Rare NAS D90

I like to check Ebay UK sometimes to see what Defenders over ther are selling for anyway, I came across this which I thought was kind of comical. Turns out that our Defenders are collectible across the pond, too.

Given its 1996 model year its clearly a pre 97 d90 line built final prototype retained in LR own fleet for evaluation and sold to an employee/engineer.

Remember they never got our D90s over there. Nearest was the 93 Tdi powered unit that was a test run complete with roll cage etc. Factory built V8 powered D90s are as rare as hen's teeth

of course you could bring it in its a NAS Defender. There was the anniversary 90's in the UK that were essentially a NAS, i think they were in 1998. they had the 4.0

The auto d90s were all 97. This vehicle says 96MY so may not be us legal.

my 95 model was built in 96 so what are you saying? there is a 2007 Tahoe at the chevrolet dealership

I'm not sure if they even really have ST D90s over there. Pretty much everything is a SW, Hardtop, or Pickup/Hi Cap. They don't seem to have the ones we have over here, with the SD rollcage, etc. in regular production.

LHD can also be a big buying point over there. If people want a vehicle that is LHD for taking to another country I imagine a NAS V8 4.0 defender would be better than a NATO one with a 4 cyl. diesel 2.5 liter.
