Not a ton of progress this weekend. Replaced a missing clip for the air box cover, and removed the rear bumper. Time to decide whether to order a replacement rear bumper or redo the current one. Bumper lights cleaned up nicely.

Today was a bit of a set back… when I purchased the truck I knew I would need to put a new drivers side floor in, but as I spent a few minutes changing out the door seals to D2 seals I found some bad rust in the cargo area that I had not seen. On the one hand I’m pretty bummed, on the other I’m glad that this truck is still worth saving. Onward.

In post #44 you wrote "I spent a few minutes changing out the door seals to D2 seals"
I'm curious about what's involved in this if you can elaborate. Thanks,
You remove the tread plates, they just unscrew, and the old seals just lift off. You just push the new seals on and they’re better than the D1 or RRC seals. Once the tread plates are removed the entire job takes 30 minutes or less. I got my seals from Will Tillery.

Alright… finally got to checking out the rust. Taking out the jump seat I don’t think they’re original. The DS seat had DI 97 on the back and that would explain why the leather is a different color. The rust is fairly well contained to the one area. Debating whether to order a completely new mid section or just have the small section replaced. The fuel pump and filler hose will probably be replaced while I’m in there.

The parts to repair the rear finally arrived yesterday… going to drop them off this morning. Barely fit in the LR4.

Where did you get the trunk from? Mine is rotted the same as yours on the driver side. Check your sunroof drain routing. Mine was incorrect and draining into there for some time
probably YRM. thats where I got mine. youll need to transfer the fuel pump wire hooke over so don't throw everything away till youre done
