My waterfowling amigo shoots one and has had no issues. Own 3 rem 870's in various models but my gun of choice is my 95 Benelli SBE that I have shot in many climates and environments. My NJ amigo shoots it duckn on Barnegat Bay where Salt is King. I would say yes if you like shooting pumps. Peace Out HOLYSTEEL aka Mark

I own two 870s. One is a 20 ga, other is a 12 ga supermag turkey gun, but I 've used the hell out of it hunting swamps for woodies because it's so easy to get around. I've dropped it in water and it still fired, for the money its hard to beat a remington. However, I have to agree with holysteel. I have a Benelli SBE HK (Holysteel, is yours a HK, float the 4th shell?). I don't use the remington much now unless turkey hunting, absolutely love my benelli. I wouldn't mess with a pump if its going to see a lot of waterfowl use.

My experience with newer Remington shotguns has not been that great... I think that Remington has lost the quality they were known for and there are much better guns for the same price. With that said my next shotgun purchase will be a Beretta or Benelli, although more expensive, I think when it comes to shotguns, they're going to get it right.

I haven't held one, but have heard from several people that the beretta A400 is badass. I was all over the Beretta until I picked up this Benelli SBE HK. Can't go wrong with a SBE II and I've seen them going for 7-800 not abused.

I have been looking at the A400, I think that will be my next purchase after I finish an EBR and finally get a safe. I really like that gun.

for money man I'd run up on a used xtrema or SBE II. I feel like the A400, while badass, is overpriced. I love berettas though. I'd rather buy a pistol with the left over cash, or go on a hell of a Louisiana guide hunt.

I'll see what happens when the time comes
