Folkz i am in utter need of help. I am trying to replace injectors here and cant get fuel rail aligned properly b/c bloody ram housing wont come off, even after i took all 6 bolts off.

I tried to push it a tad, tried to move it by hitting lightly with mallet - no go.

Can someone please share technique for getting it off?

Get a bunch of different wood pieces, and then see if you can jam one of them next to the ram for leverage. You're gonna have to seal it with RTV anyway after you remove it. It'll come off.

When you come to take out the injectors, in my experience most of them remained in the intake, not in the rail as they are supposed to. Its MUCH easier to get them back in the engine than it was taking them out. When its out, you can pressurize the fuel rail and watch for dripping (I think its 2 drops per minute if pressurized). Silicone grease on the injector o-rings before re-installing.

Thanks folkz.. After all managed to yank it off with sledgehammer and attachment that can accept wise grip pliers :)

Also replaced pressure regulator at same time.

Just back from 150m trip and it has been running niiiiiiiiiiice :)
