Replacing stock radio

Any good ideas on replacing the stock radio with a good cd/mp3 player.

I have a 97 D1 with the wiring for a cd but no cd player. It seem a lot cheeper to take the stock radio out and install a face mounted radio with a cd and mp3 than it is to buy a cd player for under the seat.

i picked up a jvc head unit from walmart for about 130 bucks, not bad and it wasn't hard to install and fits perfect
