Thanks for all the help earlier guys, I got the dremel and messed with the thing forever, I eventually got it off but it was definitly welded on their good. The stub axle suffered a good bit of damage during the removal of the race so I really think I'm just going to do it right and get a new one. According to my manual the new stub axle is gonna need new bearings and oil seal inside it, thats pretty sraight forward I guess. But what is this it says about pressing a new 'trust ring'??? thats all it says, just 'press on a new thrust ring', no picture of a thrust ring and no other explanation. I can't seem to find thrust rings for sale anywhere either. What gives?

Hi James - I'm going from memory - when I did mine I remember there being a brass ring - that I think fitted on the first shoulder of the stub axle. Roughly 3" diameter and maybe 1/4 inch thick. I think they mean this part. I had such a hard time getting this I ended up putting the old one back :(

Hope that helps
