It's a pain because the t-case is so heavy (trans, too), and it's so cramped. It'll probably be easier to pull & install the t-case if you pull the input gear thru the PTO plate first. Buy new downpipe studs & nuts because some of them will strip when you pull the Y-pipe. Torque converter bolts should be replaced, too, so get 3 of them.
