I've got several friends in the Richmond area who've been filling me in on just how bad that 14-inches of rain was that Gaston dropped on them. Amazing pics.... (go to Richmond's newspaper online at www.timesdispatch.com and check out the slide shows).

Anyone have any Richmond stories?

I suppose it should be said: be wary of buying a used vehicle out of Richmond any time soon.......

We sold our house in Church Hill about 6 weeks ago, only to see a HUGE sinkhole appear just a couple of blocks away. My wife was trapped at work until about 10pm, could not get through the parking lot. MAN was it ever raining. Shockoe Bottom looks lile a war zone.

I spoke to Steve at Rovertym on Thursday and he said that neither Rovertym nor his home were impacted by the floods.
