rock sliders

does anyone know how to build rock sliders that stick out the sides slightly? i just got back from wheeling today and i hit my side steps on a rock in the "frame twister" it got pushed under the car further, so then now i have to take them out. I figured to avoid this from happening again, i should build some rocksliders to protect my car instead of getting it bent. Does anyone know what i need? how much it costs? and how do i make it bend so it folows the bottom curve of the car? Thanks!

There are lots of suppliers out there that offer many different styles of sliders, go look at RoverTym for example.

There's another thread somewhere in this section that was done within the last month.. the general consensus was.. unless you are a professional metal worker, and can get get prices on steel, then it will cost 2x more to make them then it would to buy them.
