RUST!!! Under plasticote

I have rust bubbles starting under the plastic on my LR Brush Bar on my 99D2 and on my rear ladder where they were nicked in the past. Is there anyway to fight this? Or is it terminal?

use a grinder to remove the rust/corrosion and get area back to clean metal then apply either POR-15 or other heavy duty paint / sealant.... it will never be exactly like the original but it will stop the rust.... -Andy

Join the club. Anything that is palsticoated will eventualy retain water and rust from the inside out. I think paint would have worked better. Follow Andy's advice.

por-15 also works really well for all metal on the underbody and a vey good match for stock bumpers.... FYI
