Hi,

A stupid question if you will. But on Ebay, I have seen two styles of service manuals on CD. One is the Rave one. Another one has no name but they claim it is the "real one" that Land Rover themselves use. Does anybody have any say on which is the more complete one? The "real one" says they cover transmission rebuilds, engine rebuilds and the works.. Not sure what is on the Rave CD.

Thanks in advance.

I've got the rave cd and it's pretty detailed and as far as i can see, it's damn good. As for transmission rebuilds and such. The rave cd does go into it it and how all everything is put together. It does not go step by step and makes an assumption the the person reading it does now know what they are doing. It's not like the Haynes where it's, step 1. get a socket set and with a 1 11/16th deep socket remove tires. It's great for the DIY who wants to work on their on vehicles at home. Good to to give to your mechanic :)
