I have an '03 disco and I'm trying to figure out a way to upgrade my shock/spring system to a HD set without affecting my factory warranty. I get no cooperation from my dealer, any suggestions????

Thank you!

I lifted my '03 and the dealer hasn't said a word. I've had plenty of warranty work done as well, including the front differential and transmission.

I think it's a don't ask, don't tell policy. I'm sure i'd be fine if nothing goes wrong, but it is an landrover!

That's just total BS they are telling you. The LAW is they have to warrenty it unless they can prove the lift caused the problem then it won't be covered. If your A/C dies, that is not lift related, covered. Only thing that it may void is obviously suspension parts, sway bars break ect.

Try another dealer.

No other dealers within 200+ miles. The whole thing is BS. Every other manufacturer will do upgrades including Ford and Ford ownes LR!

If you are concerned, call the district office for Rover and they will spell it out.
I have a 3" lift on my 99 and while under warranty there was no concern around it. Most service managers will tell you it is 2"s and if there is a hassel, request that the factory service rep meet you at the dealership to resolve the issue, managers hate that and will cave in.
