If you REALLY have to have XZLs, keep an eye on Ebay, they turn up from time to time, every few months or so....

They're ok off-road. They suck if the road is the least bit wet.
There are better tires for less money. Unless you're doing a military restoration, I'd forget them.

Can I ask a silly question back?
Why do you want these tires?
XCLs are mud tires
XZL are Sand Tires

how many people here run mud terrain tires?
and since when is the xzl for sand only?

"The Michelin XZL tire is one of the world?s premier off-road tires for heavy-duty military vehicles. The tire features an optimized tread design including open shoulders and offset tread elements to improve traction and handling on varied terrains including sand, mud, snow and highway." right off michelin's own website. http://www.michelintruck.com/michel...ents/currentreleases/20040308_smartruckii.htm

no shit. what does that have to do with getting tires for a Defender or a Disco? I dont think anyone here is remotely interested in putting a 40+" tire tall on thier truck. Granted most military vehivles are using similar Michelin tires. Might have to get them from Europe or South American.
