Western Mountaineering makes some of the best bags available, in my opinion.

Having owned one of their bags, I agree. I do think, however, that Feathered Friends makes the best bags. They, like WM, are

MADE IN THE USA!!!!! :patriot:Right here in Seattle since 1972.

You pay for the quality premium, but it's better to pay more once than pay less many times over. For Rover trips with my wife I love the 2-person bag:

Disclosure: I used to work at Feathered Friends and designed a few of their sleeping bags. During my time there I regularly saw FF bags come in for a wash that were 20+ years old. These things really hold up well.

I have a marmot sawtooth and its pretty warm. Last year at SAE I ran a 100 foot extension cord from a rv hookup at the campsite and used an electric blanket. Everyone made fun of me but when they woke up at 6 am huddled by the fire freezing their nuts off it was nice to sleep my hangover off until 9.

I love my MontBell expedition -20 bag in WI winter weather. Fall and spring i lay around in Exped Dreamwalker 650 and summer if anything, it is Exped Dreamwalker 250. All these are my #1 choices after dozens of different bags tried over last 6 years. I do sleep in the tent about 60-70 nights a year. I do believe that if you are camping year round, you will need 3 bags.
