I am in graduate school in Statesboro at Georgia Southern University. I am not that far away from SC. I have not had any luck doing any off-roading down my way. I have gone on a couple of rides with SOLAROS and had a great time. This all took place in North Georgia roughly four hours away. It was well worth the drive though. Let me know if you find anything or know of any good camping spots.
I am going to go to the Southern Appialachian Expedition for sure! I went last year and had a blast. You should look into making the trip.
