Found this at a pawn shop for $35, they took $30. Cheapest I can find it online is $145.

:rofl: Oh..well..it never occured to me that....
It's a needle scaler. Used for removing slag, but is a good tool for stress relieving welds.

OK. I believe it but why do I need one? There is no slag with the mig and gas.

Actually there is a bit even with MIG, it can be hard to see though. But I also do stick welding.
But I use them mainly for stress relieving the weld joint. Particularly important with heavy welds and with cast iron.

They are great for "de rusting" frames, wheels, engine blocks..... noisey as heck but a good tool to have around.
