I have been having a problem with the seal on my front sunroof that the glass sits against.
The rubber has "jumped" out of the grove that it sits in, and when I try to put it back it seems as though the whole thing has shrunk in size. I get 3 of the 4 corners on and when I try the fourth one of the others pop out. It's like putting a double size fitted sheet on a queen size bed.
I don't know if the rubber has shrunken or I just haven't got the knack of doing it. I did mange to sucessfully put the seal in once after I imersed the entire thing in warm soapy water, but the seal returned to it's old behaviour once it dried.
I visited the dealer to try to find a price for the seal, but they said that the seal was only available with the entire assembly which was available for the princely sum of more than $500. This is something that might work if there were any other problems with the sunroof, but it is working fine otherwise and only seems to leak where the seal is out.
Any thoughts, including a part number for the seal would be helpful.
