Powerchip have a chip for the TD5. It should increase your TD5's power from 101kw to 127kw.

chips = voided warranty?

Not sure if this has been beaten into the ground yet, but I'm new so here goes:

Aftermarket chips will likely void any factory/aftermarket warranty on engine, exhaust components etc. I'm active on an Audi forum and chipping is pretty popular (makes sense due to the high number of turbo Audis) and the consensus is that engine trouble + chip = denied warranty claims.

Audi chips are not soldered to the ECU and can be removed fairly easily. Therefore, if you got a CEL it was simple to swap the aftermarket chip for the factory one when you go in for service. In fact, some people just get two ECUs because they're even easier to swap out.

It's worth considering if you are still under a warranty.

I just ordered a powerchip for my 4.6 disco so I'll let you all know if I notice any power gains.

The TD5 is reportedly sensitive engine not just in normal tune but also when tweaked. If you want to up the performance start by increasing the size of the intercooler (Allard, J fearn are just two names) and go from there.

Its a small and light part. I've had winch bumpers shipped from UK to US at quite low cost (less than across the US). Fedex! Arrived in four days. Check it out before giving in!
