tire pressure sensor replacement .

08 lr3 hse .
had codes C1a58-93 right front tire pressur sensor
also has C1A58-31 right front tire pressure sensor transmitter.
replaced right front tire pressure sensor with VDO part # SE52081
drove 8 miles after clearing codes. tire pressure light comes back on flashing.
do i need to re learn sensor? what do most people use to re learn sensor.
du not have gap tool but have launch landrover scan rool

You gotta look at that tennis racket looking thing. That’s what’s receiving the signal from the sensor. This system knows where all the wheels and tires are at on the first key cycle.
Might be easy enough to see if I’m right by switching tires side to side. See what code gets set. I’m guessing it stays on the same corner

ok so what your saying is replacement sensors do NOT need to be programmed to the vehicle? i will swap tires and see

swapped tires right to left. new VDO sensor is now in the left front wheel. old sensor in right front. cleared codes. 8 miles light comes back on then goes off after a mile stays off for about 15 miles then comes on again. theses are the codes now.
