I am moving and want to tow my Disco (96) on a car carrier. I haven't been able to find any carriers that can support the weight. Has anyone towed their Disco and if so what kind if carriers fit the Disco?

Recently moved from Colorado to Ohio with the same year Disco on a car carrier. I rented it from Penske. I was over the weight - but you can tell them that you are moving a honda accord. they won't know the difference. Anyway, I didn't have a single problem. Just make sure that it is on tight & the lights work properly.
Joe: You went the wrong way. I moved back to Denver and all the companies told me the same thing, so I didn't do it. It scared me to death to think if I got into an accident what my liability would be.
You'd need to remove your drive shafts, but that's easy enough. Drive it on, secure it, remove drive shafts, drive, stop, install drive shafts, unsecure it, drive it off, moved.
