Foolish Question Alert! Foolish Question Alert!!!

Has anybody taken the time to glam up their exhaust pipe? I have a nice clean DII with the nastiest looking sooty pipe hanging out of the back. I'm not looking for a big Uban Coffee Can thing, just a little chrome or aluminum deal to clean up the look. Must be removable so when it gets crushed between the trail and the bumper I can swap it out.

utah don't!!! please don't!! it's how it all starts and it goes down hill from there.. i've see it all to often and my friends has fallen into that trap too!!
first it's the pipes, then low profiles, then you'll get it dropped, then you'll get some spinners, then tint the windows black and it just snow balls from there!!! don't go that first step!! :D

Dent is right. It all starts with the chrome tip, then comes the side skirts, neon, rear wing...

found this solution on Rovers North site. Anyone have any experiences with this type of solution? I would imagine the resonator needs to be removed?

Try the tip section at your local walmart or autozone. They tend to have a relatively nice variety of chrome/polished steel tips. Speaking of autozone.... the guys know me by name since I stop by every couple weeks to get them to shut off the check engine light. Autozone should let you take the tip out to your disco to see if it fits, whereas walmart wont.

Plus, if you go to walmart, watch the old ladys in the white sedans! Or you could be fighting your insurance company like I am....

holy shit!! I just saw the price on that tailpipe finisher..... $150!!

Go to walmart, where a tip for $10 is expensive.

I did one similar to Greg's. I cut the resonator off, then bought a 90 degree tailpipe from Auto Zone for $5.00. Screwed it on, added some muffler repair tape, and Bingo! I don't hit it on trails any more!

I guess you could add a chrome tip if you wanted to.

I don't.
