Hello,
First time poster. I just developed a problem with my 96 Disco. When I put the heat on there is a vibration that can be heard and felt under the passenger side dash board. I took out the heater blower motor unit and it works fine...no vibration when I had it out...I put it back together and there the vibration was again. Anyone have this problem or know what it might be?

This happens to me when mice drop shredded paper down the HVAc inlet. But vibrations only when paper actually gets into the fan. Lack of paper there puzzles me. Did you check out the hoses into and out of the fan mount for obstructions?

Yeah I checked the whole area out.. It weird that it just started... Im thinking it may be a damper thats stuck..when I have the fan full on. Im getting very little air out of the ports on the dash/defroster. There is something that looks like insulation in the Squirel cage to the motor. SHould that be there?

I remember when I bought my 99 D1. I found a mouse nest between my hood and the insulation panel. It was early spring so I didn't use the heater or the AC but later in the year I remember when I cranked the AC and got the same. Vibration in the passenger foot well. There should not be anything in the "squirel cage" That is the fan that pushes the air.
