Water in floor carpet with NO RAIN!

I just purchased a '96 Discovery manual 5-speed on 2" lift, and have had a ton of work done on it including a new radiator w/oil cooler, all new: lower suspension (bushings/tie rods), front suspension (steering damper/front shocks), engine mounts, ball seals, sway bar bushings, ball joints, inner axle seals, fuel pump flange replaced, oil pan reseal, gaskets (minifold/valve cover), replaced knock sensor, thermostat, belt, bled clutch, and new battery. Drives great now and NO death rattle to deal with. However, after driving it for around 35 miles I got home and when I pulled up the passenger side floor mat, it was soaked with water. I looked in the back seat floor and it was damp as well. All the way to the middle of the car, all on the passenger side. This is the catch, it wasn't raining at the time. Not a drop. But somehow enough water came from somewhere to soak the carpet. It didn't smell like coolant. No odor so I figured water. But where from? Where is there water in the car?

Have you checked you air conditioning? I haven't looked at the setup for that on these yet but maybe the evap drain in the cab could be stopped up.

If it isn’t raining and you say it not coolant maybe pull the carpet up and see where it’s leaking from. Could be the AC drain tubes.

I've also noticed dampness under the carpet in the backseat floor behind the center front console whenever I get home from driving it for over 30 minutes. When I pull the matts up, there is moisture collecting under the rubber mat and the carpet is wet/damp. Like it's condensation from something under the car?! Is that possible?

Possibly, are there any rust spots that could allow water ingress there?

Look underneath the dash on the passenger side. Possible your heater core is leaking, or more likely the crappy flange to the core and lines.

Also worth checking to see if your coolant isn't just pure water. Idk..

I'd pull the carpet and that big foam pad gets soaks and doesn't dry. I pulled mine out of my 95 and had a lot of rust. i'm currently chasing the leak in the passenger foot well too.
