What are these seals?

I recently purchase an upper gasket kit for my 96 Discovery 4.0L. Included with the kit are the seals indicated in the picture with the red box and arrow. They appear to be about one inch inside diameter and just less than 1/2 inch tall. The wall thickness seems to be a bit over an 1/8".

What are these for?

Are these possibly used on a one of the other engines and not on the 4.0L?
I have look mine over form top to bottom and can not decide what these are for?

Any ideas?

Thank you,
DiscoEd

They go under the trumpet when you have the plenum off. Dont worry about them not needed.

Thanks Mike. I was kind of suspecting that... the trumpet tubes were the closest thing that I could find size wise. I didn't want to take one out to find out... if it's not broken, don't fix it!

Thanks again,
