I bought a D1 and want to get a fridge for it. My ARB 37qt is too long to fit with the seats up. I'm thinking the Engel MT35 should be a good option. Can anyone confirm this actually fits? It seems very close based on a quick measurement.
365 is the way to go. You can power it using the unused RV power wire located by the rear passenger tail light.
365?
My truck is already wired for a fridge from an auxiliary fuse box under the steering column.
I have a 37 qt in mine. If you ditch the door pocket it fits with the seats up.
I don't remember why the interior is completely disassembled in this pic, but it fits with everything in place other than that cargo door pocket.
Engel mt35 also fits well
I ordered an Engel MT45F-U1.
Jeff, Any pics of your setup without all your equipment? I'm curious where you got the window guards from as well??I have a dometic CFX-65, 65 quart, fits good in my D2. I'm designing a cage for it right now, out of 80/20 extruded aluminum. The cubby in the pic attached (fridge sits on top of) weighs around 35 pounds, I think I can do it in 80/20 at around 15 pounds, and move the cubbies above the fridge to improve center of gravity and easier access to the fridge
I have since gotten rid of all the roof rack crap

Thinking about converting the hand brake to a pedal so I can delete the center console and put in a Dometic CDF-11 center console fridge....
Jimmy, how are you liking the Engel? I was measuring my cargo area yesterday and it looks like a Dometic CFX 40 would fit back there too. May have to remove the handle on the side against the seat.
Thanks for the pics! How did you do the flooring? What is all that in the back left side? I'm loving your setup!I don't have many of those, I keep it loaded all the time. Found a couple from early last year.
Window guards are all from Mantec in the UK, but they're no longer in business

I tossed the rear bench seat, but I keep the single rear seat and swap it in when needed
I love it. It is so much nicer feeling than the ARB fridge in my D90 and it isn't the FJ Cruiser of refrigerators.
I will say that I like a lot of things about the interior layout of the ARB more. My one complaint with the Engel is that on our last trip we kept bumping the temperature knob when moving things around in the car. We ended up freezing some veggies as a result.

The features such as temp and light on the ARB are really nice, it just seems so plastic'ee....
