Will the cruise still work with an anti lock light on

My anti lock light is on and the cruise control will not work. The c/c light will come on but can't set the power. D1 1997. Should the c/c still work?

yes the CC should still work, they have nothing to do with each other. do a search for cruise control problems. this is a common issue.

I do not think the two are related. My abs light has been on & the cruise control works at the same time. look for a craked vacume hoes or posible broken brake switch. Odds are it is a vacume hose.

cruise did not work on my 96, I found the vaccum hose had broken open at a T connector right by the firewall, squeeze the vaccum control unit on the trotle body [black rubber bulb thingy] and listen for air leaking, that how I found my leak and was fixed by cutting off about 1/4 inch of tube and reconnecting...... -Andy

Andy is 100% right...it is a very common problem

Although the cracked vacuum line is by FAR the most likely problem, the cruise & ABS do share the brake switch, so that might be the source of both failures.
