The Red Bird State Recreation Area is slated to open on National Trails Day, June 7, 2003. In preperation for the event, we are gathering a select group of interested enthusiasts to do a "trail prep and clean up" on April 5th. This is the day after we take the Indiana DNR Brass out wheeling. We have had several trail cleanup days before. Basically, you have to put some time in by driving around and picking up crap. But you also get to play on the trails while "working". After the "work" is done, it's back to the trails for some wheeling. This is the only way you can go to Red Bird and wheel without getting arrested. If any of you are interested in participating, e-mail me direct at [email protected] or reply to this thread. I need to make the point that you will have to work, but it is fun and play time afterwards is a blast too.
