sometime ago, I read here a Rover place in northern California that did good work...not a dealership either, i don't think. Anyone know what that place is and where? My son is moving from Chicago to Santa Cruz, and I'd like to get him "setup". thanks |

What will he be driving?
I live just over the hill from Santa Cruz, in Los Gatos.
There is a decent shop about 1/2 block away, and another very good one about 5 minutes away in, Campbell.
The rates in this area are $90 - $100/hr. Dealers are more.
Mike Green of West Coast British is in Livermore. He's about a 45 min drive from Los Gatos and is $60. (I think)
Don't know anyone in Santa Cruz, as it is basically a college town on the coast. I assume your son is going to UCSC? If so, get him outta' there A.S.A.P. - you won't recognize him when he returns.
Retro '60's organic hippie hang-out. Razors for women are illegal in the county.
Do you remember Angela Davis from the '60's? She's a friggin' Professor: "Communism good, USA bad".
Do they still have grades optional?
The whole theme of Santa Cruz is "Socialism good, U.S.A. bad".
