Left the ignition key on in my 96 SD last night.. When I awoke this morning it was totally dead.. after charging the battery and resetting the "code" on the radio all seems fine except that the SRS light is now on... I'm not sure if it was caused by the dead battery.. or... I'm pushing 105,000 miles now and I'm wondering if it's simply a service reminder like the emission light... Any help out there.. and how can I shut darned the light off? I looked through the archives and didn't really get a clear answer.... Thanks mike |

srs light fired off when you tried to start the truck with dead battery... the computer looks for good voltage from system right at startup and when you have a bad battery or other low voltage issue..the system sees the drop and things there is an error in SRS.. Hopefully you can have your local LR dealer or mechanic scan and clear the code for no charge... |

The code can only be cleared with the dealer's Testbook system, or an independent specialist with an Autologic or Rovacomm system. An OBD scanner won't do it . . . |
