Anyone have any info about putting a TD5 in a D1? Can you even get a motor? |

A 300tdi is a squeeze into a D1 engine bay, the rear most head-bolts are very close to the firewall and overhaning lip and suck to get at, the fan clears the rad by just enough. I can only imagine a TD5 is a longer block with the 5th cylinder... youd need to move everything forward to fit it??? my 2 cents |

Stick to TDi especially if you can spring for the 2.8 liter version |
