Newbie Question about Gear Shift Lever

Author Message   Jason Shimmin (Jasons) Posted on Saturday, October 12, 2002 - 06:52 am:    Hiya On my '91 Disco TDi, the gear shift lever no longer stays in between the 3rd and 4th gears while in neutral... it now wants to pull over to the left hand side all the sime, which is a bit frustrating when trying the get 3rd and 4th gears. Is this an easy thing to fix? Thanks   nadim Posted on Saturday, October 12, 2002 - 07:07 am:    Not sure if this can help, but this is what I saw when I ran some maintenance for the Drivetrain after a water dip: There are 2 springs that attach to the handle that keep it from staying between 3rd and 4th when in neutral. Am I looking in the right place, or are they accessed from the inside of the vehicle?
