sorry been trying to post this... Just wondering do you guys overhaul your master cylinder and renew the vacuum servo filter every 60,000km (36,000miles)... or do you use the if it aint broke dont touch it roverism. Ive renewed the brake fluid regularly and have changed the caliper piston seals but have travelled at least 150,000km without touching the master cylinder???? Brakes are working fine just now and its time to change the fluid, should I do all the seals and filter now? thanx |

Vacuum servo? Hmmm..is that a diesel engined ancillary device? As far as m/cylinder overhaul, it is the highest point in the brake fluid food chain so moisture and dirt seem to travel downward into the calipers. If you have performed regular brake fluid changes, then the seals are probably in great condition. On the other hand, the kits aren't very expensive.... |
